It is July 1, and that means it is time for the beginning of Summer Reading activities at the John L. Street Library in Cadiz.

And this is not just for children. There are many ways that adults can participate.

This year’s theme is “Adventure Begins at Your Library,” and as such, officials have created a Scavenger Hunt for adults and/or families. It can be completed throughout July.

Find each of these locations, take a picture (preferably a selfie), and when they have all been found, submit them to the library through Facebook Messenger.

The locations include:
*A book at the John L. Street Library that you enjoyed reading.
*The Cadiz Farmers Market.
*The African American Memorial at East End Cemetery.
*The architecture of the “John Street/Fairholme” residence on Main Street.
*The walking trail that follows the path of the old Cadiz Railroad.
*Your favorite concrete pig in downtown Cadiz.
*An exhibit at the Janice Mason Art Museum.
*The backdrop at the Renaissance Stage.
*The model Cadiz Railroad display at the Trigg County History Museum.
*The outdoors of West Cadiz Park.

Bonus locations include:
*An antique store in Cadiz.
*The Red Brick Inn in Canton.
*The Lake Barkley Bridge.
*The former Broadbent seedhouse near I-24.
*And the “window seats” outside of the old Trigg County Farmers Bank, which is now both the judge-executive and county clerk’s office.

Do check hours of operation for the Janice Mason Art Museum and the Trigg County Historical Society by visiting their social media.
