Zachary “Zach” Cole Boyd, age 12, of Hopkinsville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at his home on Sunday, June 30, 2024. Celebration of Life Services will be at 4:00 PM at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with Mr. Tim Neal officiating on Tuesday, July 9, 2024. Visitation will be at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, from 2:00 PM until the service hour at 4:00 PM. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.
Zach was born in Hopkinsville, on October 24, 2011, the son of Nathan Edward Boyd and Laurel Elaine Cole Lunte. He was proud to be a South Christian Dragon and was looking forward to starting 7th grade at Christian County Middle School. He was a Christian and loved gaming, drawing, and swimming. He was an avid fan of Sonic, Spiderman, and Toy Story. He was #ZacharyStrong. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Mark Rogers, and his paternal grandmothers, Teresa Boyd and Tammy Watkins Boyd.
Survivors include his mother, Laurel Elaine Cole (Zachary “Zay”) Lunte of Hopkinsville, KY; his father, Nathan (Skyler) Boyd of Ft. Campbell, KY; his brother, Ciaran Boyd of Ft. Campbell, KY; his sisters, Layla Boyd, Annalise Boyd, Olivia Boyd all of Ft. Campbell, KY; his maternal grandparents, Debra “Nana” and Daniel “Big Papa” Sheffield of Hopkinsville, KY; his paternal grandfather, Jesse (Rachel) Boyd of Montana; his paternal grandparents, Kenn ”Grumpy Pants” and Alice “Ms. Alice” Lunte of Cadiz, KY; his aunt, Tessa (Shelby) Walker of Hopkinsville, KY; his cousin, Nolen Walker of Hopkinsville, KY; his godmother, Jessica Denton of Hopkinsville, KY; his godfather, Damian Kohler of Oak Grove, KY; his maternal great grandparents, Harold and Joyce Cole of Hopkinsville, KY, Dale and Lou Ann Rogers of TN; His grammy, Pam (Papi) Pagan of Hopkinsville, KY; his aunts and uncles, Sabastjan, Dara, Justin, Jessica, Lindsee, Bryan, Ben, Mandy, Grant, Ethan, Florence, Malenie, Kyndra, Mike, Gloria; and his cousins, Ryder, Sawyer, Stetson, Lucas, Logan, Jimmy, Emilee, and Hailee.
