A Trigg County woman was charged with assaulting a deputy and possession of drugs on Frontage Road Monday afternoon.
Trigg County Sheriff’s deputies say they went to the home of 30-year-old Maya Bridges for her yelling and cursing.
During the investigation, she was reportedly found to have several smoking devices some with drug residue, marijuana and a bag of meth she claimed she found in the yard.
Deputies say she tried to slam a door in their face and grabbed a deputy before being arrested and having to be carried to the cruiser.
She was charged with possession of meth, first-degree disorderly conduct, third-degree assault of a police officer, resisting arrest, second-degree criminal mischief, possession of marijuana, and public intoxication.
