Cadiz Police Chief Tyler Thomas is asking the community to use common sense when it comes to fireworks and traffic safety this Independence Day holiday.
During a recent conversation with Your News Edge, Thomas said that the City of Cadiz has ordinances in place for fireworks and that every resident must follow the laws.
Thomas added if you are heading out to any of the local fireworks shows, prepare for an increase in traffic nearby.
The summer months typically bring an increased amount of traffic to the area. Thomas said as a driver you always need to remain vigilant.
During holidays, like the Fourth of July, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet picks up many of the work zone cones that impact traffic over the summer. The work zones are expected to be back in place by Monday, July 8th.
