The South Western Kentucky Economic Development Council and Hopkinsville Community College are inviting the public to attend the July 15 Hoptown Hoppers game at Hopkinsville High School.

First pitch is 6:30 PM.

At the game, special recognition will be given to the 2024-2025 Hopkinsville Community College HOPFAME program participants, as well as 15 participating industries.

This year’s HOPFAME class features 20 regional residents pursuing education and certification in advanced manufacturing and industrial maintenance. Graduates of the HOPFAME program have a wide range of opportunities in the three-county region.

According to Tony Prim, associate director of business retention and expansion for SWK EDC, more than 75 regional manufacturers and industries create a “constant demand” for dependable, hardworking and skilled employees. And HOPFAME graduates have a “strong reputation,” with opportunities to earn nearly $80,000 annually within two years of a career.

HCC’s HOPFAME program has a job placement rate of 85%, and is only part of the workforce solution in Christian County and beyond, alongside SWK Ignite and Fort Campbell TAP.
