In a Thursday afternoon meeting with the Board of Directors, Trigg County Hospital’s President & CEO John Sumner relayed growing concerns among the EMS staff — regarding difficulties around the career, and staying in Cadiz.

Sumner said a recent poll taken by EMS Director Jason Meador revealed that on-call living quarters, not wages, were among chief issues — and something needed to be done prior to the pursuit of a new ambulance shack.

Sumner also said he and other officials would be reviewing the building Thursday afternoon, and if certain requirements weren’t met, there would be a need for light renovations to make accommodating living quarters.

Furthermore, directors authorized a resolution allowing for Sumner to pursue 1% loans through Kentucky Economic Development funding, providing the funds needed to purchase an MRI and CT scanner.
