A Cadiz man was charged with assaulting his girlfriend on Butler Road in Christian County Monday.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say 60-year-old Michael Puckett slammed his girlfriend against a wall and put pressure on her neck to the point that she almost lost consciousness.
He was reportedly arrested after his girlfriend showed up at the hospital with a neck injury and filed a report with deputies.
Puckett is charged with first-degree strangulation and fourth-degree assault dating violence.
