A Hopkinsville man was charged with assaulting law enforcement while being served an emergency protective order on Azalea Drive Monday morning.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say 39-year-old Bryan Huddleston was served the emergency protective order which had a vacate order for the home and he shut the door in the deputies face.
He was reportedly removed from the home and resisted arrest leading to deputies suffering cuts while taking him into custody. While being transported to jail deputies say he was yelling causing a disturbance.
He is charged with first-degree disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, violation of a Kentucky EPO/DVO, and third-degree assault of a police officer.
