If you, or someone you know, is a caregiver needing help understanding dementia and its layers of managing similar problem behaviors, handling stress and finding time for self — assistance will soon be available.
Officials with the Pennyrile Area Development District are hosting a free “Dealing with Dementia” workshop — planned for 1-5 PM Thursday, August 29, at the PeADD office on 300 Hammond Drive in Hopkinsville.
One unnamed caregiver said of the program that they wished this guide and training had been available when for their mother with vascular dementia, and that following the suggestions in the provided guidebook will make a big difference for the caregiver and the person receiving care.
