Two Charged After Hopkinsville Pursuit

Two Hopkinsville men were charged after they reportedly led law enforcement on a pursuit in Hopkinsville Thursday afternoon.

Hopkinsville Police say they attempted to stop a car driven by 53-year-old Henry Burton Jr. on Riverfront Drive after receiving a report of him driving recklessly.

He reportedly fled at speeds of over 50 mph before stopping on East 3rd Street.

Burton and his passenger 54-year-old Richard Moore Jr. were both arrested with Burton being charged with third-degree terroristic threatening, driving on a DUI suspended license third offense, DUI fourth or more offenses, speeding, first-degree wanton endangerment, second-degree disorderly conduct, first-degree fleeing or evading police, failure to maintain required insurance, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

Moore was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear.
