A Hopkinsville woman was charged with abandoning a minor on Croft Street in Hopkinsville Saturday night.
Hopkinsville Police say they were called for a 5-year-old child who was outside crying for over an hour and found the child was dropped off by 60-year-old Lisa Bellamy who claimed she thought the mother was home.
When officers made contact with Bellamy at her apartment Police say there was an odor of marijuana where the child had been the day before.
Bellamy was arrested and charged with abandonment of a minor.
