A Slaughters man was charged with assaulting a police officer in Hopkinsville Thursday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say they were called to East 13th Street for a report of a couple fighting and 26-year-old Jordan Craig became aggressive with officers by fighting with them, kicking them, and resisting arrest.
He was arrested and charged with menacing, third-degree assault of a police officer, and resisting arrest. Craig was also served a warrant for criminal trespassing.
