A Hopkinsville man arrested on unrelated charges Friday has been served a warrant Tuesday in jail charging him in a theft investigation.
Hopkinsville Police say 49-year-old Gerald Thomas damaged a cedar chest, took jewelry and a gun, and then sold the jewelry to a local pawn shop.
Thomas was reportedly working for the victim when the items were taken. Police say the gun has not been located.
Thomas is charged with theft by unlawful taking, first-degree criminal mischief, theft by unlawful taking – firearm, and theft by deception.
