A Cadiz man has been charged in connection to a shooting on West 2nd Street in Hopkinsville that injured a man Monday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say 24-year-old Keyivoran Pettigrew shot Demetrees Bussell in the arm and leg at the intersection of South O’Neal Avenue during an altercation.
Hopkinsville Fire Department Spokesman Captain Payton Rogers says Bussell was found on Jessup Avenue and taken by Hopkinsville EMS to Jennie Stuart Health for treatment.
West 2nd Street was blocked off as law enforcement collected shell casings from the road.
Police say shortly after the shooting Pettigrew was located in a home in the area, he is charged with second-degree assault.
