Colonel Band Earns Top Honors At Franklin-Simpson

The Christian County Colonel marching band returned from Franklin-Simpson Saturday with top honors.

Band Director Anthony Darnall says the Christian County Colonel Band was named Grand Champion at the 55th Annual Franklin-Simpson Marching Invitiational Saturday, September 7th. Darnall says the the Colonel Band also received Best Color Guard, Best Percussion, and 1st Place in Class AAAA.

Darnall says “I am beyond proud of our students hard work and dedication to the program and can’t see what the season holds for the Colonel Band,”. He adds.”I am equally as thankful to the dedicated staff and parents who help make the season possible”.

This Saturday, September 14, 2024, the Colonel Band will be hosting the Christian County Tournament of Bands at the Stadium of Champions for competition. This year the Colonel Band is marching 100 students with their show entitled, “A Step Above.”
