Hensley Caldwell Hunt, 12, of Hopkinsville, died at 11:41 a.m. Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Jennie Stuart Medical Center.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at University Heights Academy. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at University Heights Academy. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
A native of Hopkinsville, KY he was born January 6, 2012, the son of Matt and Lindsay Hunt. He was a 6th-grade student at University Heights Academy. He played baseball, basketball, and soccer at University Heights Academy and played travel baseball for the Western Kentucky Outlaws and the Hoptown Heat. He attended Edgewood Baptist Church and New Work Fellowship Youth Group.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather: Randy Caldwell.
Survivors include his parents: Matt and Lindsay Hunt of Hopkinsville, KY; his brothers: Hayden Hunt and Holten Hunt both of the home; his sister: Hartley Hunt of the home; his paternal grandparents: Randy & Patty Hunt of Crofton, KY; his maternal grandparents: Sherri Caldwell and Wayne Vowell of Hopkinsville, KY; and his maternal great grandparents: Joyce Caldwell and Linda Underwood both of Hopkinsville, KY.
Instead of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to University Heights Academy for a scholarship in memory of Hensley Hunt.
