Allegedly connected to the incarcerated Jonathan McCoy and the 2020 murder and arson of Trigg County’s Thelma Ileen Barnett and her Will Jackson Road home, Keisha Stewart and Allison Hunter appeared in Trigg County Circuit Court Wednesday morning — as part of a brief status update before the planned trial next February.
By their sides were Stewart’s counsel in Katy Riley and Hunter’s counsel in Steven Ellingsworth, and Commonwealth’s Attorney Carrie Ovey-Wiggins noted two trending reports needed in regard to McCoy and Stewart litigation.
Judge Jamus Redd once again confirmed that “pretty much the entire month” of February is blocked off for the McCoy/Stewart joint trial, beginning February 13, with a trial date for Hunter not yet set.
A pre-trial conference for all three parties was set for 9 AM December 11, where a trial date could be set for Hunter.
