Several people joined the VFW Post 1913 Wednesday morning for a service remembering those who lost their lives in the attack on the United States on September 11th, 2001.

VFW Post 1913 Commander John Brame expressed to the News Edge how important it is to remember those who lost their lives.

The service included a red, white & blue balloon release and lunch.

Christian County Chamber Director of Military Affairs Shannon Lane says his decision to join the military was made that day in California after watching the attack on the United States.

Lane says everyone should share their stories with the next generation and tell them what it was like to live through the attack.

Brame thanked everyone for coming including local law enforcement, firefighters, and news media.
