Over 100 Turn Out For Out Of The Darkness Walk

Over 100 people gathered Sunday afternoon at the Pardue Lane Dog Park in Hopkinsville for the Out of the Darkness Suicide Awareness Walk.

One of the organizers Mary Underwood says the walk is a way to show support and advocate for more help for those struggling with mental illness.

click to download audioAmong those on hand for the event was Hopkinsville Mayor J. R. Knight. During the walk those on hand could find information about suicide awareness and prevention and pour different colored sand into a glass bowl to show support and advocate for better awareness.
