Threats against schools and students have increased over the last decade as have school shootings. For some parents in Christian County those actions are causing ripple effects. Parent Dessa Goodlett told the School Board Thursday night that her daughter’s name appeared on the list circulating social media.

The Kentucky Center for School Safety says there are currently 789 reported SRO positions in school districts across the state covering 613 campuses. This is an increase of more than 500 officers from 10 years ago.
