The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is working with Buc-ee’s officials to ensure proper plans are in place before the store opens for business.
District Two Chief Engineer Deneatra Henderson tells Your News Edge that plans to widen Kentucky 115 are already underway between Pembroke and Oak Grove.
Regarding the new Buc-ee’s location being constructed around the Carneal Lane area, Henderson says that the company will fund any necessary improvements.
Construction on the Buc-ee’s is expected to begin in the spring, although an estimated completion date has not been provided. This will be the third Buc-ee’s the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has assisted with nearby highway improvements.
