An Oak Grove man was charged after a traffic stop on Auburn Street in Oak Grove Saturday afternoon.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say they stopped a motorcycle driven by 52-year-old Melvin Knight who pulled into a handicap parking spot at the Quality Inn.
He reportedly attempted to flee the area but was quickly apprehended. Deputies say he was in possession of marijuana, a purple powdery substance believed to be a fentanyl and cocaine mixture, a gun, along with other drug paraphernalia that was found in his motel room.
He was arrested and charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, trafficking of marijuana, possession of meth, failure to maintain required insurance, and operating on a suspended or revoked license.
