Funeral Services for 77-year-old Wallace E. Choate, of Cadiz, will be 1 PM Tuesday at Goodwin Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in New Skinner Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 AM until the funeral hour.
Survivors include:
Wife of 50 years, Linda Skinner Choate, of Cadiz;
Two sons, Wallace Choate, Jr. (Carla), and Jason Choate (Laurie), both of Cadiz;
Four daughters, Jenniffer McGee (Edgar), of Cadiz, Rita Henson (John), of Lincoln, Illinois, Lori Weldon, of Seymour, Indiana, and Dawn Mari McCrady (James), of Seymour, Indiana;
Two sisters, Judy Ayers (Bob), of Cadiz, and Juanita Stapp, of Dover, Tennessee;
15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

He died at 11:11 AM, Friday, September 27, 2024, at Tri Star Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
He was born December 6, 1946, in Trigg County, to the late George “G.C.” Choate and Mary Evelyn (Calhoun) Choate McKnight.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, George Odell Choate, Vernon Choate, and Jerry Choate.
Wallace married his partner in life, Linda, August 19, 1974, recently celebrating 50 years of marriage.
For most of his life, he was a self-employed craftsman in construction and painting, known for his exceptional work ethic and skill. His hands could build and fix anything. Wallace also served as a police officer with the Cadiz Police Department for many years.
Wallace was of the Pentecostal faith. Always happy to be outdoors, he could often be found piddling on his tractor. Devoted to his family, he held a special place in his heart for his role as “Granddaddy,” a title that brought him great pride and joy.
