A Louisville woman was charged with drug possession after she was arrested on outstanding warrants on Beech Street in Hopkinsville Monday morning.

Hopkinsville Police say they went to the home for 44-year-old Shaneka Acree, who had outstanding warrants, and could see her sitting on the couch with a glass pipe in her hand before knocking on the door.

She reportedly put the pipe in her purse and hid in a closet but was quickly located by law enforcement.

Police say she used her daughter’s name instead of her own when talking with law enforcement.

A glass pipe, THC, and a spoon with residue believed to be cocaine were reportedly located in her purse.

Acree was arrested on the warrants for probation violation, contempt of court, and failure to appear. She is also charged with possession of cocaine, tampering with physical evidence, possession of marijuana, and giving officers false identifying information.
