Officials with the Oak Grove Tourism & Convention Commission announced Friday that Executive Director Traci Cunningham has joined the Kentucky League of Cities (KLC) Board of Directors, as a representative for the Kentucky Association of Convention & Visitors Bureaus (KACVB).
Cunningham brings a wealth of experience to the board, focusing on setting KLC’s legislative agenda and leading its legislative advocacy.
She has served as the executive director of the Oak Grove Tourism & Convention Commission since 2004, where she has spearheaded efforts to promote Oak Grove as a regional destination and bolster its local economy through innovative tourism initiatives.
Her leadership in managing events and developing partnerships has been instrumental in increasing tourism-related revenue for the city.
In a written statement, KLC Executive Director/CEO J.D. Chaney noted Cunningham’s expertise in tourism and economic development “will be an asset” to the board, as someone with “valuable perspective” to support Kentucky’s growing cities.
The Kentucky League of Cities is an association of more than 380 municipalities in the Commonwealth.
