Juvenile Charged In Connection To Hopkinsville Shooting

A juvenile has been charged in connection to a shooting on Bella Court in Hopkinsville that sent two people to the hospital Friday afternoon.

Hopkinsville Police say they have charged a 17-year-old after a man and woman were injured in a shooting that took place outside of an apartment building.

The woman was reportedly shot in the arm, and the man suffered a wound to his foot.

Hopkinsville Fire Department Spokesman Captain Payton Rogers says the man was taken to a waiting helicopter to transfer him to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville. The woman was taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Health for her injuries.

The shooting happened just after 5 p.m.

The juvenile was arrested just before 8 p.m. and charged with possession of a firearm by a minor, tampering with physical evidence, and two counts of first-degree assault.
