A Clarksville man was charged after he led law enforcement on a high-speed pursuit on Pennyrile Parkway in Hopkinsville Sunday night.
Kentucky State Police say they attempted to stop a car driven by 51-year-old David West on Interstate 24 near the intersection of Pennyrile Parkway for speeding, and it fled, reaching speeds of over 120mph before exiting onto Pembroke Road.
The car reportedly collided with an SUV driven by Ben Fletcher that was eastbound on Pembroke Road, causing it to overturn several times before coming to a stop.
Fletcher was taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Health for injuries, and West was taken by law enforcement to the hospital to be checked out.
West is charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police, DUI, reckless driving, speeding, and several other traffic violations.
