Results of the Trigg County Country Ham Biscuit Eating Contest

Ten contestants joined the Country Ham Biscuit Eating Contest on Saturday morning at the Trigg County Country Ham Festival in Cadiz to raise funds for charity organizations.

Anthony Browder was the winner after devouring 9.5 biscuits in eight minutes and raised $2,500 for Genesis Express, with more than $600 donated to Seven Friends represented by John David Fourquean, and Imagination Library represented by Lindsey Stewart.

Scott Brown, representing Trigg County EMS, ate six country ham biscuits while Paxton Redd, representing The Way Christian Life Center consumed five country ham biscuits.

The sole returning contestant this year was Trigg County Sheriff Aaron Acree, who represented Special Olympics. In addition, to Fourquean, Stewart, Brown, and Redd, the other new contestants included:

– Jamie Gapp, representing the Back to Back Foundation
– Daniel Hardy, representing Helping Hands
– Tulsa Lewis, representing the Pink Ribbon Network
– Rex Booth, representing Beta Nu Angel Tree

The contest was sponsored by the Trigg County Chamber of Commerce.
