This past weekend, a resident of Barkley Plantation in Cadiz offered up some cash to Kerry Fowler — if only he could return with some funnel cake from the 48th Annual Trigg County Country Ham Festival.
Fowler refused her money, but officials with the Great American Shows Carnival, in turn, refused his — and instead asked how many funnel cakes were needed for everyone to enjoy the delicious dessert.
Fifteen free funnel cakes later, every table inside the Barkley Plantation dining area had one of the confectionery treats to enjoy.
