Kenneth Earl Cavanaugh, 68, of Cadiz

Funeral services for 68-year-old Kenneth “Kent” Earl Cavanaugh, of Cadiz, will be 1 PM Saturday at Second Missionary Baptist Church.

Burial with military honors will be at 11 AM Monday, October 21, at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.

Visitation will be from 11 AM until the funeral hour.

Survivors include:
Two sons, Shannon Jackson (Heidi), of Corydon, Indiana, and Stephnaugh Cavanaugh (Melissa), of Madisonville;
Daughter, Lotoyua Street, of Cadiz;
Three brothers, Chester Cavanaugh (Brenda), of Louisville, Tony Cavanaugh, of Louisville,  and Roger Cavanaugh, of  Cadiz;
Three sisters, Mary Grubbs, Shirley Hendrix and Crystal Tejada, all of Cadiz;
Six grandchildren, Kamerah Cavanaugh, Mya Jackson, Kaedyn Cavanaugh, Kamyah Cavanaugh, Kaecyn Cavanaugh and Myles Jackson;
And devoted friend, Bernice Cavanaugh, of Cadiz.

He died at his home Tuesday, October 15, 2024.

He was born November 27, 1955, in Cadiz to Richard Lee Cavanaugh and Della Mae Wadlington Cavanaugh.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard Lee Cavanaugh, Jr., Charles Cavanaugh and Freddie Cavanaugh and one sister, Emma Cavanaugh.

He was a US Army Veteran serving eight years, was a member of the Second Baptist Missionary Church where he drove the church bus.

He had worked at Bailey Lumber Company, Lake Barkley State Park, Stone Plastics and later retired from the Trigg County Senior Citizens Center after 33 years of service as a delivery driver and assisting in taking people to appointments.

He was most recently employed at Hancock’s Neighborhood Market.
