3 Candidates Vie for Hopkinsville Ward 9 Council Seat

Passion was not lacking from the candidates for Hopkinsville City Council Ward 9 Monday night. During the League of Women Voters debate, the three candidates – Democrat Angelique Victor, Republican Brittanie Bogard, and Independent Duane Shepard – discussed qualifications, small business, housing and city health care.

When asked about helping small businesses, Victor says she would want to work with businesses.

The League of Women Voters will host debates Thursday night between State Representative Myron Dossett and challenger Twyla Dillard, as well as Hopkinsville City Council candidates for Ward 10 Mike Velez and Andra Gold and Ward 12 Elizabeth Draude and Samual Goodman.
