A Herndon man and a Hopkinsville woman were charged with trafficking drugs after a traffic stop on South Campbell Street in Hopkinsville Saturday morning.

Kentucky State Police say they stopped a vehicle driven by 53-year-old Phillip Anthony for his license plate not being legible and the back window of his vehicle missing.

During the stop, Anthony was reportedly sweating profusely and had dilated pupils.

Police say Anthony gave consent to search the vehicle, and a large amount of suspected meth along with drug paraphernalia were found.

Anthony and his passenger, 38-year-old Nichole Causey, were both arrested and charged with trafficking meth and possession of drug paraphernalia. Anthony was also charged with DUI, obstructed vision and/or windshield, license plate not legible, failure to produce insurance card, and license to be in possession.

Causey was also charged with public intoxication.
