A threat received involving South Christian Elementary School in Herndon led to the school being put on lockdown and the arrest of a Clarksville man Monday morning.
Christian County Public School district spokeswoman Johnna Brown says they were made aware of the threat through emergency management, and law enforcement was sent to the school and the area of Herndon Oak Grove Road and Lafayette Road in connection to a possible emergency protective order violation.
As a safety precaution the school was put on lockdown as the incident was investigated.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say 38-year-old Jayvis Hall was arrested in Clarksville and charged with terroristic threatening, violation of a Kentucky emergency protective order/domestic violence order, and falsely reporting an incident.
Deputies say Hall making threats led to the school being put on lockdown.
