Officials with the City of Hopkinsville announced Friday the appointment of Bryan Silver as Hopkinsville Solid Waste Enterprise general manager.
The decision was made by the HSWE board following an “extensive” nationwide search, and Silver has been serving as the organization’s general manager since April.
The board believes he brings a “wealth of experience” and “a deep commitment” to the organization’s mission.
He began his career with HSWE in 2020 as landfill manager and operator, where he demonstrated outstanding leadership and technical expertise, and it is his knowledge and hands-on approach to waste that eventually led to his appointment of interim this past spring.
Prior to HSWE, he worked with Waste Connections, Inc., from 2013-2020, where landed valuable industry experience.
Along with his landfill manager and landfill operator license, he has a strong technical foundation from which he can work.
The HSWE reportedly looks forward to continuing its work under Silver, while serving Hopkinsville and the surrounding community.
