A Hopkinsville man was charged with shooting his brother during an argument on Younglove Street Thursday night.
Hopkinsville Police say they were called to the hospital for a man who showed up with a gunshot wound to the leg.
After further investigation, it was found he was reportedly shot by his brother 60-year-old William Merritt during an argument.
William Merritt was located by law enforcement at the home and taken into custody on charges of first-degree assault and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
