In collaboration with the Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County, officials with the Hopkinsville History Foundation are inviting the public this holiday season for the exclusive “Homes for the Holidays” Tour — giving a deep look at five historic homes in the city’s two residential historic districts.
Set for 2-5 PM Saturday, December 7, guests will have access to guided tours that share information about the architecture, interior décor and the families who have called these houses home.
Homeowners have also decked their halls with holiday cheer, and are excited to show off their historic properties.
The event includes guided interior tours of:
+ 125 Alumni Avenue
+ 144 Alumni Avenue
+ 2000 South Main Street
+ 2003 South Main Street
+ 2112 South Main Street
Every home on the tour does require climbing a few stairs to enter, and as such, is not wheelchair accessible.
Tickets are $25 per person and can be purchased at the Pennyroyal Area Museum or online their Shopify store.
Those interested in volunteering as a guide in one of the houses can also complete an online interest form. For more information, visit their website, or give them a call at (270) 887-4270.
