Funeral services for a retired Trigg County educator will be held this weekend in Cadiz.
86-year-old Bob Cassity died on Thursday in Mount Washington.
Cassity was a “Between the Rivers” native and 1957 graduate of Trigg County High School and later Murray State University.
He began teaching in the Trigg County School System in 1963 and served in administration as director of pupil personnel and general supervisor of instruction. He also followed Arthur Wallace as principal of Trigg Elementary.
He retired as assistant superintendent in 1990.
Cassity also served on the Trigg County Hospital Board, and Trigg County Public Housing Board, and contributed to the Land Between the Lakes Advisory Council.
Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz. Visitation is Friday at 4:00 with services on Saturday at 11:00.
