A juvenile has been charged with the stabbing of a family member on Boxwood Drive in Hopkinsville on Thanksgiving Day.
Hopkinsville Police say an altercation between the juvenile and his grandmother led to him stabbing her in the back.
The woman was severely injured and was transported by Hopkinsville EMS to a waiting helicopter that flew her to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville.
The juvenile was later located on Millbrooke Drive and taken into custody then taken to Mccracken Regional Juvenile Detention Center.
