Stolen Gun Recovered In Traffic Stop

A stolen gun was recovered in a traffic stop that led to several charges for a Maryville, Tennessee man Saturday night.

Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say they stopped a vehicle driven by 36-year-old Corey Phillips for an improper turn on four Campbell Boulevard into Love’s Travel Center.

He was reportedly found to have a canceled driver’s license, marijuana, and a handgun that had been reported stolen.

He was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property, no operator’s license, and improper turn.
