Linda Ray Shively, age 76, of Hopkinsville, formerly of Owensboro, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN. She was born on April 7, 1948, in Bowling Green.
Linda was a 1966 graduate of Owensboro High School. She retired from Southern States Petroleum in 2013 and was a cherished member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Linda was an avid nature lover and member of the Audubon Society, where she found joy in the beauty of birds and the outdoors. Her talent for crafting and quilting brought warmth to many, and her dedication to serving the community left a lasting impression on all who knew her. Above all, she loved her family and cherished friends. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and service that touched countless lives.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Helen Tinius Ray; husband, Ray Shively; and her brother, Ross Ray.
Survivors include her son, David (Grace Anzelmo) Shively of Nashville, TN; her daughter, Amy (Chris) Behrends of Abu Dhabi, UAE; her sister, Jane (Larry) Fink of Saint Paul, MN; and her two grandchildren, Mackenzie Behrends and Nicholas Shively; along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Graveside Services will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 16, 2024, at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West with Rev. Amanda Groves officiating and burial to follow. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle arrangements for their loved one.
