A man died at the hospital after he was hit by a vehicle on Clara Drive in Pembroke Saturday morning.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say 29-year-old Daquan Butler was hit by a vehicle during some kind of an argument in an apartment complex parking lot leading to the arrest of 33-year-old Eiesha Whitlock who was driving the car.

Deputies say she reportedly ran over him trapping him under the vehicle then reversed and ran over him again.

Butler was able to talk with deputies before medical personnel arrived but he suffered severe injuries and was taken by Hopkinsville EMS to a waiting helicopter at Pembroke Elementary School with CPR in progress.

Due to his injuries, the helicopter crew joined the ambulance crew, and they rushed Butler to Jennie Stuart Health in the ambulance.

After talking with witnesses on Clara Drive and further investigation Whitlock was arrested and charged with second-degree manslaughter and leaving the scene of an accident and failure to render aid.
