Annie Murriel Drake Shelton, age 93, of Pembroke, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2024, at Alive Hospice in Nashville of natural causes. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM Friday, December 27, 2024, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with burial to follow in Rosedale Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Friday, December 27, 2024, at the funeral home. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.
Mrs. Shelton was born in Robertson County, TN on March 16, 1931, the daughter of the late George and Annie Drake. Annie was a homemaker and a member of Little River Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Spurlin Eugene “Gene” Shelton in 2016, and eleven brothers and sisters.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
Instead of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place; Memphis, TN 38105.
