A Russellville man was charged with criminal mischief after an incident on Wayne Elgin Road in Christian County Wednesday afternoon.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say they received a call that a jeep with a Florida tag had caused approximately $5,000 in damage to a property on Wayne Elgin Road. A Jeep matching the same description was stopped on Lafayette Road, and the driver, 32-year-old Zachery Morris, was found to have two active warrants for failure to appear.
Deputies say he admitted he had gotten lost in the woods in the area of Lake Morris while driving the jeep.
He was arrested and charged with first-degree criminal mischief.
