A Cadiz man was charged with assaulting a police officer in Hopkinsville Saturday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say they were called to Boxwood Drive for 33-year-old Shane Crenshaw who was under the influence of alcohol and causing a disturbance.
He allegedly got mad and spit on someone in the home and an officer.
He was arrested and charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place, fourth-degree assault, and third-degree assault of a police officer.
