A “Bea-Strong” Chili Cook-Off & Auction Benefit, for 2-year-old Bea Armentrout, is on the horizon.

Planned for 5 PM January 11 at Cadiz Methodist Church, Bea is the daughter of Greg and Heather Wallace Armentrout. She was born with Down Syndrome and a congenital heart issue.

On October 19, she was admitted to the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt in Nashville, and must remain there until a heart transplant can be secured.

One parent must stay with her at all times, while the other parent is still working to provide for the family. Heather, in particular, serves as an assistant principal at Hopkinsville Middle School.

Benefits from this event will go to help support the Armentrout family.

It’s $10 per person to attend, and this includes a meal, a drink and a dessert.

There will be a silent and live auction, and those interested should contact (270) 350-0703 if one wants to enter into the chili cook-off, bake a dessert, donate items for the auction, make a monetary donation, or for any other questions.

Furthermore, childcare is being provided for the event. Families can also text (270) 30-0703 with ages, and numbers, of children to make a reservation.
