Donald H. Harned, 78, of Hopkinsville, died at 6:35 a.m. Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at his residence.
Funeral services will be at 4:00 p.m. Friday, January 3, 2025, at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home with Rev. Nick Ashley officiating. Masonic Rites will begin at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will begin after Masonic Rites and conclude at the funeral hour. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
A native of Hopkinsville, KY he was born March 14, 1946, the son of the late Gilbert and Louise Harned. He was a truck driver and drove for Coca-Cola, Sunflower Milling Company, and Averitt Express. He was a member of Flat Lick Cumberland Presbyterian Church and the L.M. Cox #327 Masonic Lodge.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Linda Berl Perry Harned; and his siblings: Ilene Harned Burkhead, Douglas H. Harned, Howard H. Harned, Margaret Louise Harned Taylor, Betty Lou Harned Shehorn, and Phil Hubert Harned.
Survivors include his son: Donald Wayne Harned and his girlfriend, Melissa, of Hopkinsville.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Shriners Children’s Hospital in Lexington.
