Michael “Mickey” Brown, age 70, of Cadiz, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at his home.
He was born on March 5, 1954, in Owensboro, to the late Buster Ray Brown and Betty Jean Pursley.
Mickey was a skilled machinist and welder at Wabash in Cadiz.
A man who could never sit still, Mickey was always doing something and was eager to lend a helping hand to anyone and everyone without a second thought. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He loved sports, watching basketball and football, and listening to music.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, David Alan Brown, and a sister, Linda Sue Tanner.
He is survived by his sons, Daniel Brown of Cadiz KY, and Damon Brown (Leona), of Mayfield, KY; three grandchildren, Landann, Kelton, and Rylin Brown; three brothers, Gene Brown (Marty) of Cadiz, Larry Brown of Owensboro, KY, and Kenneth Sanson of Clarksville, TN; and three sisters, Barbara Jean Belson of Dallas, TX, Debbie Alexander of Richmond, KY, and Sandra Barr of Hendersonville, TN.
Funeral services will be at Goodwin Funeral Home, 138 Main Street in Cadiz, at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, January 8, 2025, with Rev. Gary Lambert officiating. Burial will follow in Peyton Thomas Cemetery. Visitation will precede the service from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM.
