Todd County Sheriff Tracy White was indicted last month by the Logan County Grand Jury concerning an incident caught on video and shared to YouTube earlier in 2024.

In the indictment returned on December 6, 2024, Sheriff White was indicted on charges of harassment and menacing. The indictment stated the incident occurred on May 3, 2024, at the residence of Adam Weatherford. Neither of the charges is a felony, as harassment is a violation and menacing is a class B misdemeanor.

As WEKT previously reported, the alleged incident, shared via the YouTube channel LackLuster, purportedly shows Sheriff White on Weatherford’s property arguing about an incident involving children, including his own. In the video, Sheriff White is not in uniform and the video claims he was intoxicated. The video also alleged that Sheriff White hit the victim.

Following the video’s Friday, August 2, 2024 release, Todd County Attorney Jeff Traughber told Your WEKT News Edge that his office was aware of the allegations involving the sheriff but the incident happened in Logan County and because of that, his office had “no role in any prosecution related to the incident.”

Logan County Attorney Joseph Ross said Weatherford filed the complaint in his office on June 13, 2024.

The Kentucky State Police investigated the case, which was then handed over to Special Prosecutor Ohio County Attorney Justin Keown.

Weatherford told Fox 17 News in Nashville that he thinks Sheriff White should face more serious charges and that he is not qualified to be a sheriff.

Your WEKT News Edge reached out to Todd County Attorney Jeff Traughber for additional comments following the indictment and no comments were given. We also attempted to reach out to Sheriff White.
