Christian County School Board Hears Budget Concerns

State funding for local education is questionable for the next school year. Christian County School Officials told the Board of Education Thursday night there is a shortfall in SEEK funding.

Director of Finance Jessica Darnell and Board Attorney Jack Lackey said they learned how much during a conference call.

Darnell and Superintendent Chris Bentzel presented the Board with the first of three budget updates for the 2025-2026 school year, with Bentzel saying they were very conservative.

Meanwhile, Christian County High School Project Manager Kevin Hitchell told the School Board they continue to make progress.
