Hopkinsville YMCA Kicks Off Annual Campaign

The Hopkinsville Y is hoping to raise more money with its annual campaign than last year. 110 percent is the goal Chair Carter Hendricks is aiming for.

The campaign kicked off Thursday night at The Y’s annual meeting.

click to download audioLast year, the campaign raised $215,000. Several upcoming fundraisers are planned, such as the “I Love the 80s to Death” murder mystery dinner theater in March and the Spin for a Cause in May.

Incoming Chief Volunteer Officer, Bennett Greene says The Y uses those funds to impact the community.

As part of the Annual Meeting, Executive Director Sheryl Ellis named Mike Pearson the Coach of the Year.
